July seems to have just come and gone, but I'm not sure where all the time went. The number of pictures that we took went down, we missed our monthly family picture, and I've completely neglected the blog! So here's a little summary.
Noah turned six months in July. I really can't believe how fast these six months have gone by. His six-month doctor visit showed that his head size is finally catching up the rest of his body. Sometime around his six-month birthday (monthday?), his lower two teeth started to cut through. Other than a little extra fussiness for a few days, he seemed to take it fairly well.
We also gave Noah a haircut to try to tidy up his hair a bit. We bought an electric clippers kit and just did it at home. He was great and just sat in Yilin's lap while I trimmed his hair down. I wanted to trim it really short, but Yilin likes the length of his hair, so we left at about 1.5 inches.
Sometime in July, Noah also figured out how to sit up on his own, properly crawl (no more army crawling), and pull himself up into a standing position. All this has made taking care of him a lot more tiring. Initially, we had to be right up on top of him when he was sitting up in case he fell backwards. After awhile, he became more stable and we didn't have to worry so much.
Then Noah started to pull himself up onto the couch, the fence, basically anything that he could grab on to and we really had to make sure we were always by him. No longer could we leave him in his play area while we ate or watched TV. I assume it just gets worse when he learns how to walk and run.
Despite the extra work, Noah is amazing fun. He's so social and interactive, always greeting people with a big smile.
