Ever since Noah started eating solids, one of our constant battles has been getting him to drink water after each meal. We've tried sippy cups and cups with straws. None of them have really been that successful at getting him to drink. My guess is that it takes too much sucking power to get the water out due to the cups' spill-proof designs.
Then one day Yilin let Noah try drinking from a "spill-proof" cup. She said that Noah was pretty good with the cup and only made a little bit of a mess.
Then I tried giving it to him. I guess I'm not nearly as careful as Yilin is because almost all the water that came out of the cup ended up all over Noah. Most of the water spilled out when he drank from it the wrong way, but there were times when he got a good mouthful of water and was so shocked by it that he just spit it out onto himself. Even better was the fact that once I saw how much of a mess Noah was making, I had to grab my camera.
At the end of Noah's drinking session, it was very possible to mistaken it for a swimming session. Good thing it was right before bath time.
