I know that most people prefer to share their pictures on facebook, but I've never been a big fan of the platform. Instead, I've been using flickr for the past few years. I've found that I like being able to upload full resolution images that I know are going to be kept around for awhile. It kind of serves as a secondary backup of my favorite pictures.

The main thing that flickr lacks, however, is a good way for people to review and critique your pictures. This is fine, since a good deal of the pictures are family and vacation pictures.

I had heard a bit about 500px and finally decided to give it a try this weekend. I have to say, that being limited to just 20 uploads every seven days (more if you upgrade for $50 per year) has really made me think about what a good photo really is.

Have a look at my initial photos. These are what I feel are my best pictures from the past couple of years. I'd love to hear what you think.
